Remember the '70's?This is a fun, sophisticated and accurate 'over sized' version of a digital flip card clock from the late 70's. Was skeptical at first but having set it beneath a fully digital radio-set digital clock for seven months and compared, it has kept perfect time.

Really coolI just purchased this item as a gift for one of my brother that likes "retro" stuff and the idea of a flipping clock was just too good to be true.I just test it before giving it away and it works perfectly, also the noise the mechanism makes is almost nothing.Just great!

i love my flip-clock and people complement it all the timevery happy with my purchase, i was worried it would click too loud, because i hate the clocks at peoples houses that tick every second. it's very quiet but u can still hear it enough for it to be awesome.

Very coolI lost a clock in my move (ran out of time and space), and I saw this clock, which reminded me of my old clock radio I had for YEARS until it finally gave out. It is a bit loud for a sleeping room perhaps (clicks every minute at least), but looks awesome, and has kept very good time in its first month

Retro all the wayI purchased this clock for my desktop at home, owing to a peculiar weakness I have for timekeeping devices (this is the 4th clock for the home office). My sister had a clock-radio back in the '70's with flip-down numerals and I always liked the style. This clock is made of a very retro material...metal. Remember when most durable goods were made out of metal? The stand and support system isn't metal-look plastic, it's genuine, sturdy, nice-looking metal. I found the clock more attractive than I expected. There is a soft but distinct sound when the numbers flip down. It's louder than the old-fashion clock-radios because the numerals are larger and the entire works is exposed. On my desk I tune the soft "tick" out with ease, but it may not be good for use in a bedroom. Thus far the clock appears to be keeping good time, based upon a couple of weeks of use. The instructions imply that you will get about 6 months of runtime with a single "D" battery.
